Uji Prasyarat dilakukan sebagai sebuah persyaratan yang harus dipenuhi sebelum suatu analisis diterapkan pada sebuah data. Sebagai contoh, uji asumsi klasik merupakan persyaratan untuk analisis regresi linear berganda. Hal tersebut mengisyaratkan bahwa uji asumsi klasik yang terdiri dari uji normalitas, linearitas, multikolinearitas, autokorelasi, dan heteroskedastisitas adalah uji prasyarat untuk analisis regresi linear berganda.
